Michael was born and raised in Huntington, New York, received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, and graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in New York. While in school, Michael interned with Olsten Corporation, the world’s third-largest staffing company. Upon graduation, he was hired as a staff attorney with Olsten, where he represented the company in Medicare and Medicaid inquiries and investigations, as well as pharmaceutical claims submissions, kickback investigations, and employment matters.
In 2002, Michael was recruited by InTown Suites as Associate General Counsel and Director of Human Resources—a professional move that also took him and his family to Atlanta. As the company’s only in-house lawyer, Michael was responsible for handling all legal matters for InTown Suites’ 130 hotels and 1,200 employees, including litigation, labor, employment, transactions and real estate issues. In addition, Michael was responsible for all risk management functions, including the submission of property insurance claims.That experience led Michael to dedicate himself to representing individuals and businesses with their property claims.
Michael went on to found MBW Law in 2008, a multi-practice Atlanta law firm whose specialty is providing expert legal service to corporations and individuals in a cost-effective manner. He has further specialized his services to cater to property insurance law clients. Michael is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the New York Bar Association, and is an active member in several professional and networking organizations in the metro Atlanta area including the Georgia Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.
